OTE £30,000 An opportunity has arisen for a talented Customer & Business focused person to join the new Business Development Team within the UK's leading trade only Security Products Wholesaler based at our 50,000 sq foot distribution hub in Birmingham. Developing & Sourcing new business is an integral part of this exciting role. The team is mainly focused on nurturing and growing untapped new accounts & investigating new potential market sectors. Good Initiative, pro activity, a keen eye for spotting business opportunities and a passion for customer excellence are key attributes of this role. Experience of the security products industry would be a big advantage, but is by no means essential as full training will be given. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a dynamic new business development team and gain experience working within a thriving company and also offers excellent development opportunities. Main responsibilities; You will be the first point of contact for opening new accounts on your dedicated area across a variety of our well establish markets, whilst using your business sense to look for untouched sectors for our products. You will be maintaining regular contact in order to build a rapport and deliver service excellence. Reporting to the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the following; - ?Actively participating in the Company's Promotional Drives, whether they be proactive i.e. speculatively calling customers, or reactive i.e. maximising an incoming order. Completion of all relevant Paperwork - To maintain & Increase Sales for dedicated Customer Accounts, whilst maintaining regular contact in order to build a rapport and deliver service excellence - To develop sales of all high margin ranges, such as Exclusive Cylinders, Key Machines, Access Control & Multi Point Locking at every opportunity - Research and compile marketing intelligence for proactive promotions - To assist in coordinating and delivering projects / proactive marketing campaigns - Work as part of a team in the day to day running of a sales trade counter Personal specification: - PC literate with experience using Microsoft office - Confident and have a proactive attitude - Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills - Demonstrate confidence, enthusiasm and a determination to succeed - Experience of working in sales and marketing is desirable, but not essential This role is a Monday to Friday position with working hours between 8.00am and 5.00pm.
